Bankroll management

How much to stake per tip, what a normal losing run looks like, and a calculator that shows a realistic range instead of one nice number.

Bankroll calculator

Hit rate, average odd and tips per week are filled in with the bot's real results so far (78 settled tips). Change anything you like.

80% of simulated seasons end up in this band average starting bankroll

How it works: 4,000 simulated seasons with your numbers, every tip 1 unit, won or lost at random with the hit rate you entered. "Bad" and "good" are the 10th and 90th percentile. This is a simulation, not a promise: past results say nothing certain about the future, and real results can be worse than the bad scenario.

What a bankroll is

Your bankroll is the money you set aside for betting and nothing else. Only use money you can afford to lose completely: not rent, not savings, not money you will need next month. Keep it apart from your other money, for example as the balance in your bookmaker account.

One unit, every tip

Pick a unit of 1 to 2% of your starting bankroll and bet exactly 1 unit on every tip. With €500 that is €5 to €10 per tip. All results on this site are in units, so your result is simply our units times your unit size.

Do not bet more because a tip feels strong. The bot already works out the chance for every tip; a "sure thing" does not exist in shots on target.

Expect losing runs

Our tips have roughly a 50 to 68% chance at odds between 1.40 and 3.00. Even with an edge, six or more losses in a row and whole weeks in the red are normal. The calculator shows how deep a normal dip can go with your settings. Size your unit so that dip does not make you nervous.
